Spookiness
Firstly, here's one of mine :)
He's such a cute wee ghostie, isn't he? I'm planning on wearing this brooch all year round, but even if it'll just be for Halloween you can get your very own Spooky Ghostie Brooch over at my shop right now!
Or how about this gorgeous wee ghostie stamp? How cute?! Skull and Cross Buns makes so many amazing handcarved stamps, but this is definately one of my favourites. Perfect for adding to cards or gift bags this Halloween.
Next, we have an awesome bat pendant from Sneddonia Designs. I LOVE the gorgeous beads she's used in this, plus its a bat which is just plain cool! (You may remember my fondness of bats). Have a peak in her Etsy shop at her other amazing wire creations.
Kim of Finest Imaginary designs some amazing laser cut jewellery, one of which is this ace zombie necklace! I love the detailing, like the dangly eyeball and bite out of his head. CUTE!

Magpie Market
I was at Magpie last year and it was wonderful, so am really excited to be there again this year. While you're in the area you can also visit the awesome The Spider and the Fly shop (run by Magpie Market organisers), the new Hannah Zakari shop AND a whole bunch of other awesome vintagey and craft shops nearby.

Photos and Photoshoots...
I was at Sloan's Market with SpoiltPig yesterday and it was great to get some pictures of my handmade prettyness in the sun! Here's a couple for you to see, head over to Facebook for more.
Not sure if it's the sun going to my head or what, but I've had an idea and hopefully you can get involved! It might be a bit mad but have a wee read and leave me comments or email me if you think you can help me.
Basically, for ages now I've wanted to do some kind of proper photoshoot involving my jewellery and accessories. And lately I've been thinking how fun it would be to collaborate with folk and do some kind of joint photoshoot with all our stuff, that we'd all equally benefit from. No money would exchange hands - instead we'd be sharing knowledge, skills, experience, publicity, cake and hopefully lots of giggles!
So if you're a designer, maker, crafter, creative person, photographer, stylist, model or just someone who wants to come along and bring some cake - let me know!! I see this as being something Glasgow/Scotland based for now. We find some awesome localtion (in my mind its somewhere kitschy-retro-vintage-awesome-tastic), we all bring along some stuff (clothes, jewellery, accessories, homewares, props etcetc.), potentially some photography geek looking for experience gets clicking a camera though I'm sure we can all pitch in, maybe someone who knows stuff about lights too? Got Photoshop/Gimp/photo-editing skills? Then you can do any editing that needs done - and voila! We've got ourselves some cool indie photos that we can all use, providing credit is given to everyone involved. Get in touch through commenting here or emailing me and hopefully we can get something cool and indie orgainsed! :D

Vintage dreams...
I've been in a mega vintage mood recently. I like to think of it as channeling my inner crazy-old-lady.. she's called Maude or Flora or something like that, and she likes gin and pearls and tea parties and cut flowers and doilies... ahem. I have been listening to loads of vintage jazz on Last.fm and have been desperately hunting for some gorgeous, vintage shoes to fit my monster feet (I'm a UK size 10 which is a total bitch when it comes to buying pretty shoes). And so I thought I'd show you some of my favourite vintage finds from Folksy:
Its not secret I love all of Trinket Box's jewellery, but I particularly love this vintage-style pendant which would look fab teamed with a vintage tea dress
If I was skinny I'd buy this dress by Neopolitan Dreams in a flash! So pretty!
Again, if I was skinny.... I LOVE this top by Tea at Aunties

Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na Super Sah!!!
You may think bats are rather hallowe'en-y for this time of year, but anyone who knows me well and has seen my flock-of-bats tattoo will know I LOVE bats all year round :) So here are some of the amazingly cute bats I found...
How cute is this wee guy?!!! I want him (and all his super-hero pals!) Go visit Nifty Knit's folksy shop to see them all!
And what about this gorgeous wee dude?! Want want want!! Kooky Bat Brooch by Tailor-made (she has a notebook like this too!)
If I didn't already have my bats tattoo on my chest, then I'd sooo be buying this for myself! Black Bat & Full Moon Necklace by Ich Bin.
And finally, I neeeeed this bag!! Its covered in kitschy retro kids cartoons including batman (who you can't see in this pic) - awesome-tastic! Tote Bag by Heiress Apparent.

You're it!
the rules of this tag are:
1. open your first photo folder
2. scroll to the tenth photo
3. post the photo and the story behind it
4. tag five or more people
Awesomes! So here's the pic...
It is a family heirloom teacup - my great granny handpainted this beautiful tea set years and years ago, and its been passed down to my mum, and I do have my eye on it :) She has several dinner services and tea sets that my great gran painted - all beautiful and unique! I took this photo randomly about a year or so ago, I think I used it on the first incarnation of my blog, before I started using blogspot.
I'm dead nosey and love looking at other people's photos. Sorry this one wasn't more arty but the tea cup itself is pretty so hopefully that makes up for it! I'm looking forward to seeing photos from these lovely people:
Abbi of Edwina.Simone
Lee of Bonbi Forest
Abi of Birdcage Creative
Maria of The Scarlet Butterfly Co.
Sophie of Trinket Box
and Kim of HipHopSideProject/ Finest Imaginary
Enjoy! x

2010 Review So Far...
1) Be more professional and organised about designing, making, my website and my business
This one is difficult... I guess I'm still struggling to be confident in my ability to make this a success... However, I have started writing a business plan, which I feel is the first step in treating this seriously and looking at it from a professional point of view.. I've been very good at procrastinating when it comes to actually writing it though! I'm gonna aim to get it done by this time next month.
2) Find 3 new stockists for Glitterysah
Not any further forward with this, other than having a list of people I should contact. If you know of anyone you think might want to stock Glitterysah, or you yourself want to, let me know! All suggestions gratefully accepted :) shopkeep [at] glitterysah [dot] com
3) Have a stall at at least 2 markets
Done! So far this year I've been at Magpie Market's Dolly Mixtures in Edinburgh and Glasgow Craft Mafia's Handmade Haven in Glasgow. PLUS I'm gonna be at the next Handmade Haven in March, AND I have a list of some other markets etc. I'll be applying to as well! I was a bit nervous about the whole market/selling in person thing but so far, its been a lot of fun!! Fancy sharing a stall sometime? Just let me know!
4) Put together a new collection for the summer
I've chosen a couple of themes, have been looking at possible materials, supplies etc. I'll be starting work on this in March/April time - I can't wait to tell you more about it but you'll have to keep guessing for now!
5) Blog more often!!
Hmmmm...... I've done ok at this one, but not brilliantly. I will put in more effort this month, promise! :)
6) Despite all the above, have more of a social life and spend more time with my friends and meeting new crafty folks!
I've been to a couple of parties this month and have finally filled in my Glasgow Craft Mafia application, so slowly making some progress here! I'm on the look out for some kind of dressmaking class and some other things like this in Glasgow, so as well as skilling myself up I hopefully meet some lovely folks! :)
Soooo, for the next month I'm gonna concentrate harder on these things, and hopefully have more to report back to you at the end of March! If you wanna see what other things I've been getting up to and ticking off, go see my goals on 43things! xx

Free Stuff Rocks...
1.. cuddles! You cannae beat a good cuddle, its one of the best things, ever!
2.. Frosty sunny days. I know the weathers been a bit horrendous lately but I really do love wintery weather, especially if it means its cold and crisp with a lovely clear sky. Added bonus if theres snow!
3.. Rummaging through my bead collection. Technically I did need to buy most of the beads in the first place (or steal them or get them donated by lovely friends or inherit them from family) but I love just pouring them all into a tray or big box and literally just rummaging through, mixing them up, finding things I forgot I had or coming up with ideas for new jewellery - very relaxing!
4.. having a nap! Either curled up on the sofa or hiding under my downie, I seem to nap a lot these days!
5.. getting a bag of clothes/jewellery/random stuff given to me! My friends are awesome and I've been given quite a lot of stuff to use in the shop. Clothes that can be chopped up, broken or unwanted jewellery, bits of ribbon or bags of beads or the odd buttons you get inside clothes... Loads of awesome free stuff that I LOVE rummaging through and magpie-ing!
6.. clean hair. I've been trying to stick to a new beauty routine type thing.. basically using less nasty alcohol based products and more essential oil-based ones, and also washing my hair less.. ideally once a week. I used to wash it every day and its bad for your hair, plus it meant my colour would fade faster. I can usually get to about 5 or 6 days before I go crazy and wash it, but I'm trying to get that down to once a week. But it means the best feeling is the day I do finally wash my hair, it feels and smells amazing! I use this awesome Lush conditioner and it makes my hair so lovely and shiny and yummy-smelling :)
7.. flowers. Whether they're outside or in the house, I love flowers and they just instantly make you feel sunny and smiley. I wish we had a garden at this flat, it would be lovely to be able to have a wee flowery garden.... maybe in the next place we live.
8.. laughing. The kind of laughter where you almost pee a little and just can't stop giggling and smiling! Its usually with friends or the boy or watching something awesome or listening to a Richard Herring or Josie Long or Robin Ince podcast. And then if you remember it later on and randomly laugh out loud and people think you're a weirdo hehehe :)
9.. the boy calling me silly petnames. Like angelpie or babyface or c*ntoid (it is in a loving way I promise!) or babydoll or Sahface... hehe I don't know what it is but anytime he calls me any of these or others it just makes me smile all the way down to my tummy, I love it! (And I call him c*ntoid too, don't worry! I've probably pissed off a lot of feminists now... ah well)
And finally, 10.. a clear starry night sky. I LOVE it when you can see the stars at night. It doesn't happen often now that I've moved to Glasgow, but back home in Middle-of-the-countryside-ville you could see them at night and it just makes you feel so tiny and awestruck and smiley at the same time!
So, I'm gonna tag Sophie of Trinket Box and Suzy of Suzy Loves. Both lovely ladies who make gorgeous things, go check them out! I also tag anyone who wants to do this, just let me know or link back to me if you do! :) xx
